Markwrite Direct

Terms of Service

Effective July 12, 2026. These terms govern the Direct version of Markwrite provided by Twelvefold Limited.

The app and your files

Markwrite is a native macOS application for reading and editing Markdown files. Your documents remain on your device unless you choose to store or share them using another service. You are responsible for keeping backups of your files.

Trial and paid license

Markwrite includes a 14-day full trial. After the trial, a one-time purchase unlocks the paid editing features of the Direct version. A purchase is not a subscription and does not create recurring charges.

License scope

A Markwrite license is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and may be activated on up to two Macs that you own or control. You may deactivate a Mac to move an activation to another eligible Mac. Do not share, resell, rent, sublicense, or publicly distribute a License Key.

License verification and revocation

The Direct version periodically verifies its license status online. A refunded payment, a lost payment dispute, fraud, or a material breach of these terms may result in license revocation. Reading, search, copying, and export remain available after a paid license is revoked; paid editing features are restricted.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Markwrite Refund Policy. It provides a 14-day full-refund window for Direct purchases, subject to applicable law.

Acceptable use

You may use Markwrite only in compliance with applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, circumvent license controls, or use the software to infringe the rights of others, except where a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Disclaimers and contact

Markwrite is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twelvefold Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@twelvefold.co.
