Markwrite Direct
Privacy Policy
Effective July 12, 2026. This policy explains how Twelvefold Limited handles personal data for the Direct version of Markwrite.
What we collect
When you purchase or activate Markwrite, we may process your purchase email address, Stripe payment and order identifiers, license status, a hashed license key, device activation identifiers, and support correspondence. We do not upload or store the contents of your Markdown documents for licensing or payment purposes.
Why we use it
We use this information to process payment, issue and recover License Keys, limit licenses to two active Macs, prevent fraud, provide support, process refunds and payment disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Service providers
We use Stripe for payments, Cloudflare to host this website and for the licensing API and file delivery, Neon for license and order records, and Zoho Mail for transactional email. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services and under their own applicable terms and privacy notices.
Retention
We retain purchase and license records for as long as necessary to provide the license, handle support, refunds, disputes, and legal or accounting obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, unless we must retain it by law.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data. To make a request, email support@twelvefold.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and may retain information when required by law.
